Yanceyville Solar Farm produces 9,200 MWh of electricity each year. Its 21,588 solar panels work in harmony to generate enough electricity to power roughly 700 homes. Construction was completed in 2013 after just 12 weeks!
Over $250,000 was spent in Caswell County for wages, lodging and supplies. This led to a Caswell County property tax base increase of approximately $12 million, with no requirement for additional county services.
Each year, the solar farm will offset approximately 4833 tons of CO2.
